Not all security and vetting companies behave in the same way. A call to our office revealed an unhappy HR Manager whose current vetting company seemed to be making a habit of finding an issue with a file, delaying their progress and then invoicing him anyway without telling him what had happened.
He was understandably quite cynical when we advised that our approach is to do everything possible to ensure that a client can keep the employee they have worked so hard to recruit. In practical terms we never cancel or terminate a file without examining every option to resolve any issues. And we only cancel a file with the agreement of a client.
